IMPORTANT BILLS IN HAND [ British Official Wireless. ] RUGBY, Oct. 25. The King will open Parliament for the first time in his reign to-morrow. The Speech from the Throne, which he will read to the assembled Lords and Commons, will outline the Government’s plans for the coming session. It is anticipated that the Speech will indicate measures of first-rate importance for the coal industry and agriculture and Bills dealing with the reorganhy.tion of the electricity supply, cost of air raid precautions, future of British films, prison reform, evils of “share pushing,” regulation of fixed trusts, and a reduction of the age limit for pensions for the blind as legislative tasks before Parliament. The text of the King’s Speech has already been considered by Cabinet. To-day it will be submitted to the junior Ministers and leaders of the two Opposition parties. The King and Queen will drive in state from Buckingham Palace to the House of Lords. The Prime Minister returned to Downing Street from Chequers, where he spent the week-end. Princess Elizabeth will attend the opening of Parliament. The King and Queen will leave London to-morrow for Sandringham. It is announced that His Majesty will visit the Duchy of Cornwall property in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset early in December.
