OLD BOYS 1 REUNION RESULTS OF SPORTS MATCHES The annual reunion celebrations foi past, students of the Wanganui Technical College were continued yesterday when a number of sporting fixtures were played. The celebrations were brought to a successful conclusion last evening with a ball in the college assembly hall. The rowing race between a crew ol present-day pupils and two crews of old pupils was raced early in the afternoon and resulted in a win for the first mentioned crew by a length and a-half. The results were:— Technical College.—E. Crutchley (str.), Wadsworth (3), B. Cox, S. McDonald (bow), W. C. Johnstone (cox) ) Old Boys No. 2 Crew.—R. Boyland (str.), M. Breed (3), R. Blackmore (2), N. Grant (bow) 3 Old Boys No. 1 Crew. —E. Day (str.), C. Coull (3), E. Crutchley (2), C. Hutchens (bow), P. Hartshorn (cox) 3 The Old Boys No. 2 crew and the college crew forged ahead early after the start, and it was evident that these boats would light out the finish, The college crew gradually forged ahead, and, rowing strongly, won comfortably by a length and a-half. During the afternoon a Rugby match was played on the colleg? grounds between teams representing the past and present students. After a hard-fought match, victory went to the Old Boys by 14 points to 13. Tries were scored for the Old Boys by McElwain, McNicol, Shewan and Rangihcina, McCormick converting the latter try. For the present-day pupils tries were scored by Cargill, Taylor and Ryan. Guy converted two of tries. Mr E. J. Crotty refereed the match.
