LEWIS PASS ROAD
HEAVY LABOUR DAY TRAFFIC. [ Per Press Association. ] WESTPORT, Oct. 25. The advantages of the through connection to Christchurch as a result of the completion of the Lewis Pass Road is illustrated in a manner satisfactory to both the Reefton and Westport districts with a great run of motor traffic through this route. Westport enjoyed one of the busiest Labour Days for years with a big crowd of visitors in town for golf, sports meeting, and bowling tournament.
