APPEAL WITHDRAWN

KAKARIKI COLLISION CASE MELBOURNE, Oct. 22. The appeal against the judgment of the High Court in the action following the collision between the Kakariki and the Caradale has been withdrawn by the owners of the Caradale. Giving judgment in Admiralty jurisdiction in the High Court on July 26. Mr Justice Dixon found that the steamer Caradale was to blame for the collision at Port Philip Bay on January 30, which resulted in the sinking of the Union Steam Ship Company’s steamer Kakariki.
