ACQUITTED OF MURDER

DEATH OF NOTED SOLDIER END OF KENTUCKY FEUD Received Oct. 24, 8.10 p.m. SHELBYV-LLE (Kentucky), Oct. 24. A jury acquitted Roy Carr, on a charge of murder of Denhardt. The verdict freed another brother Jack, while a third, who is in a mental hospital, is not likely ever to be tried. A message on September 21 stated that Brigadier-General Henry Denhardt, a well-known politician and soldier, whose trial on a charge of murdering Mrs. Vera Taylor, his fiancee, two months ago roused national interest, was shot dead by three assailants while strolling down a street with his attorney. It is believed that members of the woman's family took revenge in a fashion typical of the Kentucky feudists. The jury at the first trial were unable to reach a verdict. The second trial was scheduled for to-day. The assailants were captured and the authorities later announced that it was Mrs Taylor's three brothers who had been arrested.
