£lOOO REWARD OFFERED ASSAILANT OF YELLIN’ SOUGHT. Received Out. 24, 9.50 p.m. JERUSALEM, Oct. 24. The Jewish nobleman, Avinoan Yellin, a former student of Cambridge University and lately senior inspector of Jewish schools, who • as shot on Friday last while on the doorstep of his office, has succumbed. The Colonial Secretary told the House of Commons that he is entirely satisfied with the manner in which the acting-High Commissioner in Palestine was using his powers under the defence Order-in-Council. He did not consider the time had yet come for him to delegate powers to the General Officer Commanding.
