ST. STEPHEN’S WOMEN’S SOCIAL CLUB Mesdames P. A. Stanley Campbell (senr.), and Miss Hopkinson, were hostesses at the usual fortnightly, meeting of the St. Stephen’s Women's Social Club on Friday afternoon, when there were 23 members present. Apologies for non-attendance were received from Mesdames A. Wallace, C. H. Harden and S. Bromiley. The meeting expressed sympathy with Mr and Mrs S. A. G. P. Wallace and Mrs S. Bromily in their recent bereavements. Mrs G. Graham was the winner of the jumbled names of flowers competition. A most enjoyable afternoon tea was served by the hostesses. PERSONAL Mr and Mrs D. Thomas, Tawa, Wairoa, who have been spending a fewdays in Waverley with Mrs J. Newland, have returned home. Miss M. Stone, Wanganui, was the guest of Mrs G. Lupton for the weekend. Mr and Mrs D. Thomas were the I guests of Mrs H. L. Thomas for the week-end.
