Q.A.M.R. BALL AT WAVERLEY
Streamers of black and gold. prtdominated in the decorations for the Q.A.M.R. ball held in the Waverley Town Hall on Friday night. Lycopodium, tree fern fronds and yellow broom were intermingled most effec tively on the stage, over which hung the Union Jack. Many visitors were present. The dance music was suoplied by the New Gaiety Orchestra, while supper extras were played by Miss M. Scadder and Messrs Gifford, S. Roydhouse and P. Bosher. The supper room was gaily decorated with black adn gold streamers, entwined with lycopodium, and big bowls of lemon and gold Iceland poppies and azalea mollis were on the tables. Mrs P. V. Graves was in charge of the supper arrangements and a sumptuous supper was served by the ladies committee and members of the Q. Mr M. Hartwell, as master of ceremonies, had charge of the floor.
