“THIS PEACE BUSINESS” HEATED EDUCATION BOARD DISCUSSION I Per Press Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 22. “This peace business has gone too far. We must not let these peace people contaminate our children,” declared Mr. W. A. Banks at a meeting of the Canterbury Education Board to-day. Mr. Banks was moving a resolution seeking to rescind a previous decision of the board allowing the World Peace League to distribute its literature to schools In the Canterbury district.
After an hour’s heated discussion, Mr. Banks’ motion was lost, five members voting for it and six against. The league may now distribute its literature subject to the approval of the school committees.
