MINIATVRE RIFLE CLLB. The final shoot for the M. Baker trophy was fired on the local range last Thursday evening. Five succeeded in reaching the standard and the shoot-off gave Hannan Cup points to J. Govenlock 3, C. Balwin 2 and Mrs. Langesen 1. Scores were.—J. Govenlock, 96—2 98; C. Baldwin, 97—1—98; Mrs. Langesen, 90—8—98; S. Holmes, 96—2 98; Miss Cameron, 92—6—98; P. Woon, 88—9—97; F. Langesen, 85— 12—97; J. Kelly, 95—1—96; R. Travers, 93—2—95; H. King, 91—4—95; H. Goile, 91—3—94. The Holmes Buttons went to J. Govenlock 100, S. Holmes 98 and F. Langesen 97, total 295. Others were Miss Cameron 99, C. Baldwin 98, R. Travers 95, total 292; Mrs. Langesen 98, J. Kelly 96, H. Goile 94, total 288. The M. Baker trophy went to C. Baldwin, who shot particularly well to reach standard in each match. The final scores were C. Baldwin, 294, S. Holmes 292, P. The committee meeting decided to stage the last match of the season with the club championship which will occupy the next two Tuesdays. In conjunction there will be a handicap trophy shoot, teams matches and cup points. All trophies won during the season will be presented at a wind-up dance, particulars of which are being advertised shortly. GOLF CLLB. The flag match played last weekend was won by H. Hiroti, who carried the flag well past the eighteenth. The committee decided that summer golf would be impracticable and, as a result, finals will be played oft almost immediately so that a mixed foursomes match can be played on closing day, Saturday, October 30. In the evening a dance will be held at which trophies won during the season will be presented. Particulars are advertised-. The draw for the finals, to be played to-day, players being winners of monthly matches, is:—Medal: C. Larkin v. A. Olsen; P. Jones v. C. Anderson; B. Wilson v. scorer. Bogey: K. Aiken v. C. Connors; S. Holmes v. N. Larkin; P. Jones v. scorer. Ladies’ Club. The hidden hole match played recently was won by Miss M. Smith, the hidden holes being No. 5 and 17. Last Tuesday’s match—president's team v. captain’s—resulted in a win for the captain’s team by two matches. Results were, the president’s team being mentioned first in each instance:—Mrs. C. Baldwin lost to Mrs. McLean; Mrs. Hartley lost to Mrs. Holmes; Mrs. Marumaru lost to Mrs. Jones; Mrs. Smith lost to Mrs. Grant; Mrs. Morrison lost to Miss Mackintosh; Miss D. Castles won from Miss A. Castles; Mrs. W. Baldwin won from Mrs. O’Leary; Mrs. Trotter won from Mrs. Strachan; Mrs. Connors halved with Mrs. Marchant. • Next Tuesday will be the last ladies’ day of the season. A stableford bogey match will be followed by an approach and putt competition. The draw for the former is:—Miss A. Castles v. Mrs. O’Leary, Miss Mackintosh v. Miss B. Baldwin, Mrs. C. Baldwin v.
