COUNCILLOR INJURED
CAR ROLLS INTO STREAM MISHAP APPROACHING BRIDGE HAMILTON, Oct. 14. Extensive injuries to his head, hands and legs were received by Mr. Charles Lafferty, of Frankton, a member ol the Hamilton Borough Council, when the car he was driving left the road when approaching a bridge at Omahu. on the main Thames-Paeroa road, on Tuesday evening. The car was considerably damaged, as it overturned twice before it came to rest in a stream. Mr. Lafferty was admitted to a private hospital in Paeroa, and his condition is reported to be not serious. Mr. Lafferty is the second member of the Hamilton Borough Council to be incapacitated through accident, Mr Frederick Best having broken his leg when he fell some weeks ago.
