Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated October 21:—Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, Le. including storage charges, cartage, market tolls, etc.): North Island Down lambs, 281 b to 361 b, 7:.’d per lb; 361 b to 421 b, 7 5-8 d per lb. Best North Island crossbred lambs, 281 b to 361 b, 7 5-8 d per lb; 361 b to 421 b, 71d per lb. North Island second quality lambs, average 301 b to 311 b, 71d per lb. Best North Island wether sheep, under 481 b, sild per lb; 481 b to 561 b, 4 7-8 d per lb; 561 b to 641 b, 4:,'d per lb; 641 b to 721 b, 4id per lb. North Island ewes, under 481 b, 4d per lb; 481 b to 561 b, 3 5-8 d per lb; 561 b to 641 b, 3id per lb; 641 b to 721 b, 3.1 d per lb. New Zealand prime ox beef, 1601 b to 2201 b, 3 5-8 d per lb. Compared with last week’s quotations, Down lamb, l-8d per lb lower; crossbred lamb, 361 b to 421 b, and econd quality lamb, l-8d per lb lower; wethers, under 481 b, 481 b to 56ib and 641 b to 721 b, l-8d per lb lower; ewes, 481 b to 561 b and 641 b to 721 b, l-8d per lb lower. Others unchanged. The market is quiet. There is a weakening tendency all round.
