WELLINGTON SESSIONS [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Oct. 21. Prisoners sentenced by Judge Reed were: Charles Edward Southwood, aged 23, labourer, for indecent assault on a female at Hastings, three years’ hard labour; Toki Hene, aged 42, labourer, for negligent driving causing death at Wanganui, 18 months’ hard labour; Heo Apaoa McGregor, aged 20, labourer, for unlawful carnal knowledge at Ruatoria, ordered to come up if called within two years; Dardanelles Paranihi, aged 22, for breaking, entering and theft at Feilding, to come up if called within two years and to take out a prohibition order; Edward Griffin, aged 60, sawmiller, for forgery (one charge) and obtaining money by false pretences (three charges), two years’ probation and to take out a prohibition order; Norman Stanley Buchanan, aged 21, labourer, for breaking, entering and theft at Wellington, two years at a borstal; Frank Frederick Boot, aged 23, labourer, for offences against a male, four years’ hard labour; Hote Matakatea, aged 23, labourer, for attempted breaking and entering with intent (three charges), breaking and entering with intent (five charges), breaking and entering and theft at Levin (seven charges), 18 months’ reformative detention.
