GOVERNMENT’S PROTECTION ITALIAN CAPITAL LEVY ROME, Oct. 20. Government officials, acting through the brokers, xsuccessfully operated to prevent the collapse of security values owing to the capital levy. Reports that part of the levy will be used to finance the Spanish war are denied.
