AFFAIR ON A SHIP
CHARGES DISMISSED [ Per Press Association. 1 AUCKLAND, Oct. 21. Holding that the evidence against him was scant, that there had been no bodily harm, and that he was not the aggressor in the fight on board the steamer Port Brisbane on October 9, Mr. Wyvern Wilson dismissed two charges of assaulting and causing actual bodily harm to two men which were brought against James Gibbons, ship's fireman. Gibbons, who was acquitted, had been in custody since October 9.
