MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
DISTRICT ELECTORS’ ROLL PREPARATION IN HAND The Wanganui City Council district electors’ roll for use at the municipal elections next May is now in the course of preparation. It is desirable not only that the names appearing on the roll should be correct in every particular, but also that the places of address ot those appearing should indicate their present abode. This refers particularly to residential claimants, and as property in the city has been for some time past changing hands frequently, it must follow that the present particulars given on the existing roll are now incorrect by reason of changes of address which have occurred.
Those concerned should make a point as early as possible of inspecting the roll at the City Council offices. There are others who have attained the age of 21 years since the last municipal election and who are not yet enrolled. This applies equally to newcomers to the city with the requisite qualifications and they, together with the former persons mentioned, should make early application at the council office in order that their names may appear on the main roll to be deposited on January 31 next.
