EMPIRE COMPETITIONS AUSTRALIA’S SUCCESS LONDON, Oct. 19. At the British Dairy Farmers’ Show at Islington, the Empire competitions resulted:— Butter, salted, 44 entries.—Manning River, New South Wales, 98 points, 1; unsalted, 40 entries—Downs Co-operative, Toowoomba, 98 points 1. Cheese.—Goodwood, 1; Lochiel, 2; Brydon?, 3; Thornbury, reserve; Pahia, Wright’s Bush, Aparima, and Pakerau, highly commended; Titiroa and Fairfax, commended. All of the above are Otago factories.
