GIRL GUIDE RETURNS

REPRESENTED NEW ZEALAND. A Girl Guide, Miss Olwyn Haycock, of Nelson, who represented New Zealand at the recent international camp held in New York to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Girl Scouting in the United States, arrived at Auckland by the Niagara on Monday. Miss Haycock said that 27 different countries each sent a representative to the camp. The girls learned one another’s folk songs and dances, and held discussions. Each wore her country’s Guide uniform, and on special occasions her national costume.

Miss Haycock spent three months in the United States, and a month In Canada, visitlhg most of the larger cities.

Another Girl Guide returning home is Miss Rozalie McDonald, of Rose Bay, who represented Australia at the camp.
