WORLD’S CHAMPION MILER GREYHOUND TO VISIT N.Z. QUARANTINE ARRANGEMENTS [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Oct. 20. The champion American trotter, Greyhound, who holds the world's record of one minute, fifty-six seconds for the mile, is almost certain to visit New Zealand early next year. The desire of the New Zealand trotting :authorities is that Greyhound shall take part in the International Trotting Meeting at Addington next Easter and at which the best New Zealand and Australian trotters will compete. It is known that Greyhound’s owner is anxious to bring the gelding to New Zealand, and his main concern has been in regard to the quarantine requirements. Arrangements have been made for the horse to spend the necessary twenty-eight days in quarantine at the Government research station at Wallaceville, where good stables and grass paddocks wil be available, instead of spending the period on Somes Island.
