CHALLENGER WINS ON POINTS JENKINS BEATS DON STIRLING [ Per Press Association. 1 OAMARU, Oct. 19. A professional boxing contest fo* the New Zealand welterweight title was fought in the Oamaru Opera House to-night between Don Stirling (holder), 10.2, and Stan Jenkins (challenger), 10.61, both of Oamaru. A large crowd witnessed the bout, which was of 15 three-minute rounds, and which went the full distance, Jenkins winning on points.
