Mrs R. A. Grumitt is leaving to-day on a visit to Wellington. Mrs Elian, of Auckland, is staying with her sister, Mrs A. J. Guscott, Victoria Avenue. Mrs J. Hay, Tauranga, is visiting Wanganui. Mrs S. Barton will be a Wanganui visitor to Wellington for race week. Mrs A. McPherson, of Turakina, was a visitor to Wellington this week. Mr and Mrs G. Martin are Dunedin visitors to Wanganui. Mr and Mrs B. Jackson, Auckland, are visiting Wanganui. Mr and Mrs R. Orton, St. John’s Hill, will be visitors to Wellington this week for the races. Miss Joyce Treloar, Wellington, spent the week-end in Wanganui with her parents, Mr and Mrs F. Treloar, Nelson Street. Miss E. Hammond, of Ohingaiti, is paying a brief visit to friends in Wanganui. Mrs H. D. Bales and Mrs J. B. Davis left Wanganui yesterday for Napier, and will attend the Hastings Show. Mr and Mrs J. Miller and family left for Pukekohe by the Limited last night, where they will in future reside. Miss Diana Elworthy, of Gordon’s Valley, will be the guest of Their Excellencies Lord and Lady Galway, at Government House for the spring race meeting at Trentham and the ball. Mr and Mrs George Taiboys, of Lawrence, Central Otago, are visiting Mr and Mrs R. G. Taiboys, Wicksteed Street. Mrs D. Munro is a Wanganui visitor to Wellington. • • * • Miss I. Chapman, of Auckland, is the guest of her sister, Mrs J. Millward, St. John's Hill.
Miss Agatha Bunny, Lower Hutt, left on Monday with her father for Napier and Rotorua, and will return to Wellington via Wanganui.
Mr L. E. Gielgud, Under-Secretary of the International League of Red Cross Societies, accompanied by Mrs Gielgud, left Auckland yesterday by the Monterey for Los Angeles.
