GOVERNMENT CAUCUS

NEW BILLS APPROVED [ Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Oct. 19. Proposed legislation was considered by Government members at the usual weekly caucus this morning, the Bills approved being the Sale of Wool Bill, which seeks to do away with what is known as the draft allowance on wool; measures dealing with the control of the military forces and civil aviation, a broadcasting amendment Bill, which is concerned with the administration of commercial broadcasting; and a measure affecting the Auckland Power Board, whereby the voting for the election of members is altered to conform with the municipal franchise legislation. In connection with the Sale of Wool Bill it is similar to that which has been passed in several Australian States, and will introduce a reform that has been long asked for by the woolgrowers. The Broadcasting Bill separates the management of tne commercial side of broadcasting from general broad- - casting control.

The Prime Minister indicated after the caucus that these measures would be introduced within the next feu days.
