One of a party of Palmerston North sportsmen was lost near the Brandon Hall Road on Sunday, and spent the night in the open, eventually walking to “Santoft” Station in the early hours of Monday morning. Meanwhile his companions, fearing that an accident had happened, notified the police, and search parties spent the greater part of the night scouring the country. Constable Ede brought the missing man into Bulls, and then on to Brandon Hall Road, where it was found that searchers were still out. Mr R. J. Gray went out and located the men, and eventually all left for Palmerston North—tired, but cheerful.
