LARGE WOOL SHED DESTROYED [ Per Press Association. ] MASTERTON, Oct. 18. Mystery surrounds the origin of a spectacular blaze which completely destroyed a big wool-shed and dipshed at the homestead of Mr R. F. R. Beetham Brancepeth, late this afternoon. The wool-shed, which was built about 32 years ago of heart timber, was considered to be one of the finest in the country. There was no one working in the shed at the time of the outbreak about 5 p.m., and with no fire-fighting appliances available Mr Beetham and his ' employees were helpless. Half of the loss was covered by insurance.

Shearing on the Brancepeth station, one of the largest in the district, will commence next month, but Mr Eeetham has already received offers of assistance.
