WRANGLE ISLAND CARCASES
TRANSPORT TO MOSCOW. MOSCOW, Oct. 17. The AcaiJemy of Science is equipping an expedition to bring to Moscow the frozen carcases of a mammoth found on Wrangel Island, the Administration of which reports that the carcases are perfectly preserved. They are 19 feet in length and are covered with hair 55 inches in length.
