The Pratt Whitney division of the United Aircraft Corporation at Hartford, Connecticut, has announced that it has licensed the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation, Melbourne, to manufacture the Wasp type of engines. Wing-Commander L. J. Wackett and other Australian experts have been at the factory for months studying manufacturing methods. The Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation will also manufacture the North America NA 16. a two-seater military 'plane, in which the Wasp is the standard engine.
