CATHOLICS IN JAPAN
DESIRE FOR DELEGATION TO VATICAN TOKIO, Oct. 15. Two hundred thousand Japanese Roman Catholics have requested the Foreign Office to establish a delegation in the Vatican City and declare that Japanese heroes are fighting night and day to bring holy chastisement to the Chinese soldiery. The Apostolic Delegate to Japan, commenting on the movement, stated that the Vatican does not take sides in political controversies, and that he had received no instructions from the Vatican to assist Japan in the light against Bolshevism.
