OPENING FOR SEASON The opening of the Wanganui Bowling Club is an event that rs always well attended by the wives of 'the bowlers and members of the club. The day was fine and sunny and a pleasant time was spent by the onlookers, who took a keen interest in the games.

Mr A. Crawford, president, opened the greens and Mrs Crawford rolled the first jack. The afternoon tea tables, which were set out on the wide balcony of the pavilion, were centred with gaycoloured flowers. Mrs A.
