BULLS-TO-MARTON RACE . MARTON CHAMPION WINS WANGANUI MAN SECOND The final race of the Marton Harrier Club for the season was held on Saturday when the annual Bulls-to-Marton road race was held. The day was perfect, but the runners were affected by the heat. F. Hill, of Marton, was first man home, and his time of 48min. 47sec. was a record for the course. A. Penberthy, of Wanganui, was second and finished approximately 250 yards behind the winner. D. Smith, of Marton, filled third place a further 200 yards back. The results are as follows: F. At the conclusion of the race, the harriers were entertained to a wellearned afternoon tea in the Druids’ Hall.
