MELBOURNE MATINEES THEATRES MAY NOT REOPEN Received Oct. 15, 11.30 p.m. MELBOURNE, Oct. 15. Picture-theatre proprietors who intended resuming matinees in suburbs where schools have reopened have been served with notice from th*. Paralysis Consultative Council not to reopen. The Cinematograph Exhibitors’ Association announced to-day that it intended to seek compensation from the Government owing to the heavy loss suffered through the epidemic. The total of cases now is 536.
