INSULATING THE COUNTRY
Sir.—The Minister for Finance, Hep. W. Nash, made a statement in l?ie House of Representatives last n gjU. He said: *1 have already explamct; that if overseas prices fell and affected the income of this country we would insulate the country against these outside influences.” Naturally he did not explain how this insulation would be affected. This is no doubt a great secret to be revealed only when the time comes. Meanwhile the country generally is expected to rest trustfully on the Minister of Finance's insulation policy, whatever that may be.—l am, etc., D. SUTHERLAND.
