AUCTION SALE OF FREEHOLD PROPERTIES.
Freeman R. Jackson and Co., Ltd. (in conjunction with C. L. Duigan and Co.), have been instructed by the administrators in the estate of the late Charles Gordon to sell by public auction on Wednesday, October 20, 1937, at 11 a.m., in the land sale rooms of C. L. Duigan and Co., Ridgway Street, several freehold properties sitaute at Taylorville. Lot 1 comprises a freehold section of about 1 rood, adjoining the Red Lion Inn, on which are premises occupied by Messrs. Kernohan and Co. Lot 2 is a section of 29 perches, having a frontage to Taylor Street and adjoining the east boundary of the Red Lion Inn and lot 1. On this section there is a large motor garage and work shop. Lot 3 contains 2 roods 16 perches and has a frontage to Taylor, Rees and Blyth Streets and adjoins lot 2. There is a large motor paint shop on this section. Lot 4 contains 1 rood 28 perches and having frontages to Rees and Fox Streets just off Anzac Parade. LABOUR DAY ATTRACTIONS. It is expected that the races at Waverley on Monday week will attract a record attendance. Our readers are recommended to peruse an advertisement in this issue wherein the Railway Department announces special arrangements for the Labour Day holiday. The provision of cheap excursion fares, with fast trains to and from Waverley Racecourse, should prove attractive to all racing enthusiasts.
