FARMERS’ CO-OP. REPORT. At the Opunake. sale on Monday, October 11, a very large entry came forward and all classes met a good sale throughout. Quotations are as follows:—Fat wether hoggets, 32s to 345; fat cows and heifers, £9 to £lO 10s; lighter sorts, £7 5s to £8 7s 6d; best springing heifers, £l2 10s to £l3 ss; others from £8 10s to £lO. Several pens of yearling heifers came forward and these sold according to quality and conditions from £3 18s to £4 17s; best yearling steers, to £5 10s; others from £3 17s to £4 7s. Works buyers were again operating for cattle in their respective classes at full schedule rates. At the Manaia sale and supplementary bull fair a good entry of all classes came forward and late rates were well maintained in all depart- | ments. We quote as follows:—Best' | springing cows to £l2; others from £9, to £10; calved cows to £11; fat cows to £8 10s; paddock cows, £4 10s to £5 15s; works cattle, £3 to £4 ss; grade bulls, best 2-year-olds, to 12i gns.; others from 9 to 10gns.; yearlings, 6 to 7gns. Some horses were yarded and the following may be quoted:—9-year-old mare, in foal, £47; 3-year-old gelding, £47; 2-year-old gelding, £26. Opunake pedigree and grade bull fair, Wednesday, October 13.—An entry of some 80 bulls came forward for the above fair and some very nice animals were forward. The demand in all classes was keen from the outset and values held throughout. Of the entry 70 bulls were sold at auction and quotations are as follows: 2-year-old pedigree Ayrshire bulls, 12igns., 21gns., 20gns.; yearling pedigree Jersey bulls, 21gns., 20gns.; others from 12 to 15gns.; grade bulls, best 2-year-olds, to £l7; other 2-year-olds, £ll to £l5; yearling bulls to £l5 ss; others from £8 to £ll. VALLES EASIER AT FEILDING [ Per Press Association. ] FEILDING, Oct. 15. There was a general easing in values at the Feilding sale to-day. Mutton was back about 2/- a luad, although hoggets improved. Store sheep showed little change while store cattle, together with fat cattle, found the market sticky. For dairy cattle there was a good sale. Range of prices:— Fat Sheep.—Hoggets, prime, 35s 3d to 38s Id; others, 24s 6d to 33s 6d; ewes, primest, 38s to 40s; lighter, 22s to 34s lOd; wethers, 35s to 365. Store Sheep.—Wether hoggets, 24s 9d to 30s; ewe, do., 35s 9d to 425; ewes and lambs, all counted, 18s. Store Cattle.—-Yearling P.A. steers, £3 10s to £G 10s; 2-year Shorthorn heifers, £5 15s; do., steers, £6 7s 6d; 2year P.A. do., £9; Jersey yearling heifers, £2 12s to £4 12s. Fat Cattle.—P.A. cows, £8 10s to £ll 10s; do., heifers, £lO to £11; P.A. ox, £l3 ss; dairy cows, £5 5s to £9 7s 6d. Dairy Cattle.—Springing heifers, £5 10s to £l2 ss; do., cows, £5 to £9 ss; cows in milk, £6 to £8 ss.
