Mr. and Mrs. A. P. McHardy, Waipawa, are visiting Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. W. Stevens, Karioi, were visitors to Wanganui this week. Mrs. F. W. Wagstaff, Gloucester Street, has returned from Feilding. Mrs. E. Anderson, Otaki, is visiting Mrs. Donald, Wanganui East. * * * * Mr. and Mrs. A. Gray, of Marton, have been visiting Wanganui this week. Mrs. Rouse has returned to Dunedin after spending several weeks in Wanganui with her daughter, Mrs. F. E. Smith, Durie Hill. Miss C. Keller, of Paeroa, is spending a few days in Wanganui and is the guest of Mrs. M. Warren, Nelson Street. Miss Kathleen Jones, Makirikiri, has been spending a holiday with friends at Cambridge. Mrs. Aubrey Cave, Papaiti, has returned from Wellington. Mrs W. Strachan, “Lornty,” Okoia, has returned from Wellington. Miss L. Morrison, of Maxwell, is holidaying in the Waikato district. Mrs. D. J. Foreman, of Hamilton, who has been visiting Wanganui, has returned home. Miss Mollie Mitchell, Guyton Street, is spending a holiday in Christchurch. Miss Vivienne McLeod, of Okoia, who has been visiting Miss Joan Nicholson, Levin, is at present staying in Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Haig, who have been spending a few weeks in Wanganui, have returned to their horn? in Hawke’s Bay. The sum of £1 4s was realised at the impromptu collection taken at the Townswomen’s Guild meeting on Wednesday, for the Porirua Christmas appeal.
Miss W. Nichols, of Tauwhare, Waikato, has returned home after spending a holiday as the guest of Mis. W. Morrison, Maxwell. Mrs. Cecily Tabor-Gregory, who has just completed a record season as producer for the Marlborough Amateur Musical and Dramatic Society, is staying for a few days with her sister, Mrs. O. H. Williams, Palmerston North, before returning to her home in Auckland. In the report of the Wanganui Club “At Home’’ the name of Mrs. Hector Christie was erroneously included as among the guests present.
