OUAKUNE
FOOTBALL CLUB The annual social evening of the Ohakunc Football Club was held in St. Joseph's Hall on Saturuay evening, when Mr. L. U. Carmine presided over a gathering of some 5u lootballers ana supporters. The club was the recipient of congratulations lor winning the Senior Shield and also two cups by its junior team. A lengthy toast list was honoured. During the course of the evening Mr. J. Ward was presented with a cup for being the most consistent player during the season, while Mr. Claude Hancox was also the recipient of a cup for being the most improved player during the season.
At convenient intervals songs and elocutionary items were rendered by the following: Messrs. Peter Tekupua, S. McNicol, J. H. Hardie, O. Larsen, T. Tetau, C. Thomas. The toast of “The Chairman” brought a most enjoyable evening to a close.
