SPRINGBOK TOUR
THE THIRTEENTH MATCH AN ISSUE WITH OTAGO TEAMS FOR TO-MORROW. [ Ter Tress Association.] DUNEDIN, Sept. 9. The Springboks arrived in Dunedin this evening to play the thirteenth match of the New Zealand tour against Otago on Saturday. They were received informally by the Mayor and president of the Otago Rugby Union (Dr. Arnold Perry) who played for Otago in the match against the 1921 team. The manager (Mr. Percy Day) said that hig team was thoroughly fit. There had been no further casualties and the players injured early in the tour had made a good recovery. “Invercargill was the turning point of the tour,” he said. “The players are very tired and they will not be sorry to be homeward bound.” There is every indication that the conditions will be very much to the Springboks’ liking on Saturday. After a spell of dry weather Carisbrook is very fast and a fine day is all that is needed to make the tourists feel completely at home. Following are the teams:— South Africa. Full-back: G. Brand.
