BRIDGE PARTY AT WAVERLEY
Mrs Purvis Bremer was wearing a black satin skirt with floral tunic on Friday afternoon, when she entertained at a bridge party in honour of Miss Margery Brewer, who is to be married shortly. The guest of honour was wearing a mode] frock of marina green cloche with trimmings of mustard and henna and Robin Hood hat. The room had been artistically decorated with mixed bowls of roses, carnations, larcydum and spring flowers. During the afternoon those present presented Miss Brewer with primrose green articles, with best wishes for her future happiness.. Winners of the bridge were Miss P. Graham first and Miss N. Mathieson second. Those present were Mesdames J. Alexander (Maxwell), A. J. Alexander, S. F. Besley, K. Hor.eyiield, D. Simmons (Patea), P. Graham, D. Handley (Maxwell), N. Mathieson, A. Graham, P. Simmons (Patea).
