The Auckland Racing Club’s winter meeting concluded at Ellerslie to-day in tine weather with light rain in the earlv afternoon. The attendance was 17 700. The track was holding. The totalisator handled £63,322 for seven races, against £49,224 for eight races last year, an increase of £14,098. Down the hill Irish Comet took the lead from Forest Glow, Allegretto, Tudor and Don Erma, who fought out a sterling finish.
