JOURNEY BY ’PLANE

BABY’S EXPERIENCE i Per Press Association. 1 AUCKLAND, June 9. Probably the youngest baby ever to make a flight in an aeroplane in New Zealand is the five weeks’ old daughter of Mrs. K. Newburgh, who last Saturday flew from Christchurch to Te Kuiti. The baby slept all the way. With Mr. E. Clerk, as pilot, Mrs. Newburgh and baby left Christchurch on Saturday on the way to Auckland. Darkness fell rapidly and a landing was made at Te Kuiti. The journey was continued by car. To-morrow the mother and baby leave on the return flight to Christchurch.
