COUPLE PERFECTLY HAPPY ULTIMATE RETURN TO ENGLAND VIENNA, June 9. The first hint that the Duke and Duchess of Windsor were going to England was given by Sir D. B. Forwood in the course ot a press interview, when he said that they had no intention of returning to England for a considerable time. He continued that they were leaving Wasserleonburg in the autumn, but were winterin in Austria, where it was expected that members of the Royal Family would visit them. They desire to live a useful life, and are certainly not going to Jive in complete idleness. They may concentrate on charitable work later, but the Duke at present needs rest. They are enjoying their stay at Wasserleonburg where the Duke and Duchess are perfectly happy. Sir D. Forwood said: “The Duke does not intend to discuss the Church of England attitude. He is perfectly happy that he had the Rev. A. Jardine’s blessing.” About 5000 messages from all parts of the world have been received since the wedding, including private congratulations from a number of members of the British Government. Sir R. Forwood announced that the Duke and Duchess of Windsor were remaining at Wasserleonberg for three months, but would shortly be making trips to Venice and Dalmatia. Service to Country According to the Daily Telegraph's Vienna correspondent, Sir R. Forwood said that the Duke is certainly ready and willing to serve his country when the Empire could use him.
