SUPPLIES OF MUTTON AND LAMB Shipments of frozen meat from New Zealand to the United Kingdom during May compare as follows wlih those for the corresponding month cf last year:— Mutton Lamb carcases. carcases. May, 1936 210,000 1,110,000 May, 1937 160,000 1,050,000 Arrivals of mutton and lamb in the United Kingdom last month were as follows, the figures for May, 1936, being shown in brackets: New Zealand, 885,000 carcases of lamb (1,020,000); 195,000 carcases of mutton (270,000). Australia; Lamb, 495,000 carcases (360,000); mutton, 125,000 carcases (<0,000). South America; Lamb, 570,000 carcases (665,000); mutton, 200,000 carcases 150,00). Shipments afloat to the United Kingdom from all sources at May 31 were 345,00 carcases of mutton and 1,860,000 carcases of lamb, as compared with 375,000 carcases of mutton and 1,685,000 carcases of lamb a year ago.
