NOTIFYING THE BOARD’S INTENTION TO RAISE BY WAY OF SPECIAL ORDER, A LOAN OF £20,000. \JOTICE is hereby given that at a X meeting held on May 13, 1937, the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-power Board passed a special resolution tc raise by way of special order a loan of £20,000 for extensions to the reticulation in the Board’s district. The proposed loan is to be for a period of not more than fifteen years, and will bear interest at 3* per cent.; provision of 2* per cent, annually for repayment will also be made; these charges will be met out of the general revenue of the Board. Security for the loan will be a special rate of one seventieth part of one penny in the £ on the rateable value of the rateable property in the Wanganui - Rangitikei Electric-power district.

It is proposed to raise the loan under the authority of Section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2) 1936, without taking a poll of the ratepayers unless a poll is demanded by not less than five per centum of the ratepayers by notice in writing received at the Board’s Office before the time of confirmation of this special resolution. The resolution will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Board, to be held at the Board’s offices, St. Hill Street, Wanganui, at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, 1937. Copies of the resolution are available for inspection at the offices of the Board in Wanganui and Marton, and at the offices of the various local authorities constituting the Wanganui - Rangitikei Electricpower district.
