RE AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION

Sir As one who has supported thf Agricultural Association for many years as a member of the executive, it is with regret that I notice the position which the association is apparently forced into by the recent decision of the magistrate regarding the late secretary’s salary. In the magistrate’s decision he states that Mr. Armstrong did not seek nor press for this statutory windfall, and in view of this statement and the financial position of the association it would be a graceful act on the part of the late cecretary not to collect any sum he may have gained through the recent legislation and which he probably never expected to get—l am, etc., JAMES PATTERSON. 12 Parnell Street, Wanganui. June 31, 1937.
