CLERICAL UNION
IMPORTANT LEGAL POINTS REMOVAL TO APPEAL COURT [ Fei Press As-vc’-tion. f DUNEDIN, June 4. At the Supreme Court, Mr. Justice Kennedy made an order to-day for removal to the Appeal Court of the proceedings instituted to determine the validity of the registration of the Otago Clerical Workers’ Union, declining its registration as a separate union. Mr. J. F. B. Stephenson, Wellington, who represented the stock and station agents’ employees, stated that the grounds for asking for removal to the Appeal Court were the magnitude of the public importance to the questions involved, end there would be no opposition to such removal. It affected the validity of all clerical unions registered in New Zealand, whose membership was 20,000. Both in law and fact the matter was very important.
