AGED CHINESE
DEAD BODY FOUND I Per Pre»» Association, j DUNEDIN, June 4. A Chinese prospector. Yew Kui, jage'i 75, single, was found dead under I a fall of earth at Lawrence yesterday 1 population with all the economic evils which it involves, and ultimate • extinction as a people or absorbtion • in and subjection to some race which ! lives according to the natural law. One Effective Remedy. I And just as there is only one effecj five remedy for the flood disaster, 1 namely the replanting of the forest i and the grasslands, so too there is 1 only one remedy wnich can eflective- | ly check the cancer of race suicide, • which is eating away the vitality of our people. No appeals to a sense of • patriotism, or to civic duty, no extol* . ling of the glories of brotherhood, no , system of maily allowances or higher ; w ages, can ever arrest the dread dis- ; aster ol a dwindling population. 'I he ! only thing which can do it is the inI elusion into the minds of New Zea- • landers of a proper regard for lhe . natural laws. New Zealanders will only stop practising birth control and abortion when they have been conI vinced of the fact that these pracl tices are intrinsically evil, vicious of I their very nature, or in the terms of ! Catholic theology, mortal sins, sins i which of their nature involve not i mere a temporal but also an eternal I retribution. I Paying the Penalty. I In other words, in the disaster of ; race suicide we arc paying for our • failure as a nation to put Chris- • tianity into our social life. Chris- . tianity has not foiled. VVc arc simply ! paying the penalty lor not practising , it. For w hat can have a greater inj fluence on the life of society than the ' education system of the country. But if the education system of a country does not inculcate into the children a respect for God and his laws, how can we expect the citizens of that country to have any regard for lhe i laws of God? The historians of the I future will blame the secular education system for our extinction as a nation. The only way in which we can effectively stem the tide of sexual immorality and unnatural vice which is corrupting our people, is to give our children a religious education. The secular education system is the fundamental cause of present-day social evils, and until it* is amended I those evils will continue to increase.’’
