CRUISE IN ISLANDS
H.M.S. SLOOP WELLINGTON AT SUVA FOR CORONATION [ Per Press Association. ] AUCKLAND, May 3. On her annual winter cruise among the islands of the Pacific, the Imperial sloop Wellington, commanded by Commander Loriston-Clarke, will leave Auckland to-morrow for Suva. The sloop will be absent from Auckland for three months and her early departure is due to the fact that it is desired that she should remain at Suva for the Coronation celebrations. In addition to her usual patrol duties in the Pacific, the Wellington is to take a party of scientists to Canton Island, in the Phoenix Group, to observe the solar eclipse.
