AUSTRALIAN TEAM FOR N.Z. OTAGO RESOLUTION [ Per Press Association. ] DUNEDIN, March 9. Measures to secure a visit from an Australian team next season were advocated at a meeting of the Otago Cricket Association to-night. The following resolution was carried: That this association desires to express the opinion that the utmost benefit would accrue to New Zealand cricket from a visit from an Australian team during the next season, and we respectfully urge that the New Zealand Council leave no stone unturned to secure such a visit, the team if possible to include Bradman. Griffiths had not been informed that he was unfjt for the English cricket tour, said that Griffiths was seen by one doctor who told him to see another doctor and a dentist. The final doctor advised the council that all were agreed that Griffiths was unfit to go on the tour. Mr. Donnelly assumed that Griffiths was informed by the doctors but received a telegram from Griffiths this afternoon and replied confirming the Press Association message sent from Christchurch * h ls morning.
