WIN FOR WANGANUI TAIHAPE TEAM DEFEATED Taihape railwaymen who visited Wanganui by special excursion train yesterday and engaged a team of Wanganui railwaymen at cricket lost to the home side by a substantial margin. After an enjoyable game, Wanganui won by an innings and 53 runs, the highest score of the day being secured by Campbell (Wanganui) who made 55 runs. Wanganui batted first and hit a total of 175, the next best batsman for the home side being A. G. Grant (43). Others with good scores to their credit were Griffin (31) and Gleeson (16).
