SENTENCES COMMUTED
MURDER OF PENSIONER , Received Feb. 9, 11.55 p.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 9. The death sentences on Thor/as Michael Ryan, 30, and his brother Denis Martin Ryan, 22, for the murder of a pensioner named Robert McKenzie, near Bathurst, on October 20, were to-day commuted to life imprisonment. McKenzie apparently was killed for his money and his bedy thrown into the river.
