LONDON PRICES RISE New Zealand 87s to 88s . MARKET REPORTED FIRMER New Zealand butter on the London market has recovered slightly. Latest quotations of 87s to 88s per cwt. are about Is 6d higher than the previous rate, although representing a decline of 2s 6d on the week. The market is firmer. The London quotation of 87s to 88s per cwt. is equal to approximately 10.17 d per lb. f.o.b. New Zealand ports compared with the guaranteed price of 12.565 d. Cheese values are practically unchanged. White is selling slightly dearer at 51s per cwt., while coloured, also at 51s, is unaltered. A Press Association message sent from London on Thursday states that butter is firmer. Danish is quoted at 118 s to 120 s; choicest salted New Zealand, 87s to 88s; Australian, 86s to 87s; unsalted, New Zealand, 925; Australian, 90s to 91s. Cheese: New Zealand, white and coloured, 51s; Australian, white, 50s; coloured, 495.
